Popular Australian actress Naomi Watts will star in a psychological thriller titled "Hour of the Wolf," directed by Alistair Banks Griffin. This is reported by the Variety edition.
Watts will play the role of a woman who was once a famous counterculture figure, and now lives alone in her apartment in the South Bronx, having everything she needs, but actually cutting herself off from the outside world. The action will take place during the notorious "Summer of Sam" in 1977, when serial killer David Berkowitz was keeping the entire city at bay. While the heroine Watts is more and more immersed in self-isolation, an unknown tormentor begins to use her weaknesses.
The project will be financed by Bradley Pilz Productions. Naomi Watts will also act as executive producer. Filming is due to begin in New York towards the end of 2017. The project is planned to be presented to potential buyers on the American Film Market, which will open on November 1, 2017 in Santa Monica.
Recall that in 2017, viewers could see Naomi Watts in the movie "The Book of Henry", as well as in the television series Twin Peaks.
