Warner Bros. Film Studio is considering a director's cut of David Ayer's Suicide Squad. The DCEU Mythic resource reports about this with reference to its sources. If this plan is approved, the movie adaptation of the comics will be presented via the streaming service HBO Max.

Unlike the so-called Zach Snyder's Justice League, the director's version of The Squad does exist, moreover , it was completely ready and even demonstrated to the studio management. However, it ordered the movie to be re-edited, and the audience saw what was released.

According to unconfirmed reports, there were more episodes with the Joker in it, in particular, the long scene of the fight with him from the subway, was also completely different introduction, setting the tone for the entire movie adaptation. Also, the relationship between the Joker and Harley Quinn was filed differently, which is believed to be more in line with the concept of the later movie "Birds of Prey: The Fabulous Story of Harley Quinn".

Recall that "Suicide Squad" was released in 2016 and was quite successful at the box office. In 2021, the premiere of the second part will take place, which will not be a sequel, but a kind of "soft restart".
