Outlander renewed for two seasons
Cable Channel Starz has extended the hit TV series Outlander, based on Diana Gabaldon's bestsellers, for two seasons at once - – fifth and sixth. As for the fourth season, which will consist of thirteen episodes, it will be released on Starz this November. The exact date of the premiere will be announced later. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The new seasons will consist of 12 episodes and are currently the shortest. So, the first season consisted of 16 episodes, and the second and third – 13 each. The new seasons will be based on material from the fifth and sixth books of the Gabaldon – "Cross of Fire" and "Breath of Snow and Ash.
