Streaming service AppleTV + has set a date for the military drama "Greyhound," starring acclaimed American actor Tom Hanks, to premiere. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it will be presented to viewers on July 10, 2020.

Recall that the picture was movieed by Sony Pictures and was originally intended for theatrical release. However, with the outbreak of a new type of coronavirus, this plan was revised. A little later, the studio completely transferred all rights to the project to Apple.

Greyhound is set in 1942. In the story, naval officer Ernst Krause is appointed captain of the destroyer. Taking command, he is tasked with leading a convoy of ships through the waters of the North Atlantic, overflowing with German submarines. To escape the pursuit of the enemy and save the lives of his subordinates, he will have to show all his skills and abilities.
