Mads Mikkelsen to star in Alexander Payne's road movie
Popular Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen will star in a new and as-yet untitled road drama directed by Alexander Payne. According to Slash Film, the movie is planned to be presented to viewers by streaming service Netflix. The plot revolves around a foreign journalist who travels across the United States with his teenage daughter to write an article. Filming should start in the fall of 2019 in Sweden and will continue in North America. Note that Payne's movies have repeatedly claimed the highest professional awards. In particular, his other road drama, On the Sidelines, was nominated for five Academy Awards and won one Oscar for screenplay. As for Mads Mikkelsen, then in 2019 he took part in the work on the computer game "Death Stranding" by Hideo Kojima, giving his image and voice to the main antagonist of the project.
