Sony Pictures Film Studio has postponed the release of the movie "Monster Hunter", which is based on the game of the same name. Instead of September 4, 2020, as previously planned, it is supposed to be presented to viewers on April 23, 2021. There were no comments on this matter, but, most likely, the studio does not expect to restore the rental in the fall.
The main role was played by Milla Jovovich, the movie also starred the master of martial arts Tony Jha and the famous Hollywood actor Ron Perlman and others. The production budget of the project, directed by the husband of Jovovich Paul V.S. Anderson turned out to be very modest - $ 60 million, but, apparently, the Sony management does not expect to recoup even that amount if the tape is released within the previously announced deadline.
As a reminder, "Monster Hunter" is an RPG console game created and developed by Capcom. In the story, the player hunts various monsters, collecting new types of weapons and armor and increasing his combat experience. In 2018, the fifth episode of the game titled "Monster Hunter: World" was released.
