Professor of Linguistics has identified Yoda's homeland

The mysterious homeland of the head of the Jedi Order Yoda from Star Wars is most likely located on one of the Hawaiian Islands. According to the Metro edition, this conclusion was made by the professor of linguistics at Queen Mary University of London, David Edger.

The scientist came to this conclusion after studying the peculiarities of the Yoda dialect, in particular, the way of constructing phrases. "Many other Star Wars heroes speak their own languages, such as Ewoks, Wookiees or Jabba the Hutt. George Lucas never revealed the secret of Yoda's origins, but his English is clearly not his native language. But, most likely, he builds phrases like this, as would be characteristic of his language. And this structure is almost identical to that used by the indigenous peoples of Hawaii, "- said the professor.

As a reminder, Master Yoda was a key character in the first two Star Wars trilogies. He opposed the admission of the young Anakin Skywalker to the Jedi Order, and later became the mentor of his son Luke Skywalker. Yoda was one of the most powerful Jedi of his time and, despite his very advanced age and deceiving physical infirmity, a brilliant swordsman.

In Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith, the master fought Emperor Palpatine, but none of the opponents was able to win a convincing victory.
