Roskomnadzor has blocked hundreds of pirated online cinemas
The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) has entered into the Unified Register of Prohibited Information more than 250 pirated online cinemas and torrent trackers, which posted illegal advertising of online casinos and bookmakers. As reported on the official website of the department, this was done at the request of the Federal Tax Service of USA. It is alleged that as a result of joint actions, access to 200 Internet resources was limited by telecom operators, since the prohibited information was not deleted by the resource owners. The deadline for fulfilling the requirements that were sent to the owners of fifty more sites (as well as hosting providers) has not yet expired at the time this information was published. The press release of Roskomnadzor emphasizes that information "about a significant amount of pirated resources with illegal advertising" was received from citizens and organizations using the hotline operating on the official website of the Unified Register of Prohibited Information.
