Ron Howard, who replaced Phil Lord and Chris Miller as director of Han Solo: A Star Wars Stories, has done a tremendous job, reshooting about 70 percent of the finished material. As noted by GeekTyrant, he managed to get the project back on track, outlined by the script and approved by the management of the Lucasmovie studio.
It is alleged that the problems of the second spin-off began literally from the first days of shooting, when Miller and Lord began to deviate from planned plan, seeking to make "Han Solo" a kind of "Guardians of the Galaxy". According to eyewitnesses, Howard needed hours to movie the scenes Lord and Miller had fought for days to create. After watching Howard's footage, the fired directors asked Lucasmovie not to name them in the credits. since in fact they no longer had anything to do with the picture.
Earlier it was reported that "Han Solo: Star Wars" stories overtook all the movies of 2018, except for the third part of "The Avengers", in terms of the number of sold before the release in ticket rental. It is expected to launch in North America with an impressive result.
In USA, the second spin-off will be presented to viewers on May 24, 2018.
