The Walt Disney Company has postponed the premiere of Avatar 2, the sequel to the highest-grossing movie project in cinema history, for a year. As reported on the official Twiter page, the picture will not be presented to viewers on December 18, 2020, as previously planned, but on December 17, 2021.

The reason for the change in the rental schedule has not been specified. Naturally, the release dates for other movies in this series have also been changed. "Avatar 3" - December 15, 2023, "Avatar 4" - December 19, 2025 and "Avatar 5" - December 17, 2027.

Note that the premiere date of the sequel "Avatar" has been postponed several times earlier. This was due to the complexity of the movieing process, which required the use of unique technologies developed specifically for this project.

Details are still kept secret, it is expected that the sequels of "Avatar" will be movieed not only in stereoscopic format, but also with an increased frame rate.

"Avatar" was released in 2009 and grossed 2.7 billion dollars. The action took place on the planet Pandora, inhabited by aborigines who opposed the earthly colonizers in every possible way. Former Marine Jake Sully, sent in the body of an avatar to scout, falls in love with a local girl and goes over to the Aboriginal side.
