Director of Suicide Squad 2 abandoned the project in favor of a Walt Disney movie
The movie "Suicide Squad 2" was left without a director. According to Deadline, this post was rejected by Jaume Collet-Serra, who shot the thriller The Shallows. Instead of movieing DC comics, the director chose a contract with Walt Disney studio, according to which he will shoot a movie based on the popular attraction from the Disneyland amusement park called "Cruise in the Jungle". For the first time about the studio's intention to movie another of its attractions was announced about ten years ago, and in 2015 it became known that one of the most profitable and highly paid actors of modern cinema, Dwayne Johnson, agreed to play the main role. Nothing is known about the content of the project. Previously reported that it will be shot in the style of the Indiana Jones adventure movies. The script was to be prepared by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, and is expected to begin movieing in spring 2018. The rental schedule of the picture at the time of this writing was not specified. Note that the classic Disney attraction "Jungle Cruise" is a trip along the river, during which visitors to the park meet various African animals, including Nile crocodiles and rhinos.
