Fans of "Star Wars" can once again see the famous Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi performed by British actor Ewan McGregor. According to The Hollywwod Reporter, he is in talks to participate in the Obi-Wan Kenobi television series, which will be presented via the new Disney + platform.

The project has not yet been announced. Note that earlier the studio Lucasmovie considered the possibility of creating a full-length movie about Obi-Wan, but after the not too convincing distribution of "Han Solo" plans for the further development of the line of spin-offs were revised.

Kenobi is a central figure in Star Wars mythology. In the original 1977 movie, he is a war-weary, desert-dwelling hermit who later turns out to be a wise mentor to young Luke Skywalker. Alec Guinness first introduced the character to viewers, earning an Academy Award nomination.

Obi-Wan also played a key role in the prequels directed by George Lucas, which chronicle the origins of Darth Vader and the rise of the Galactic Empire under the leadership of Sith Palpatine.
