Brazilian President Jair Bolsonoru has accused the famous Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio of aiding the rainforest arsonists in the Amazon. The official's words are quoted by The Hollywood Reporter. "DiCaprio is a good guy, isn't he? He just gives money to those who set the Amazon on fire," he said.

The head of state meant the donations that the actor's environmental organization made and intends to do in the future against non-profit Brazilian foundations fighting the consequences of large-scale fires that occurred in 2019.

Previously, Brazilian law enforcement agencies conducted searches at the headquarters of two such structures as part of an investigation into illegal receipt of funds. It is alleged that some of the so-called "volunteer firefighters" they deliberately carried out arson in order to obtain funding from non-profit foundations. Thus, DiCaprio, without knowing it, could support these "enterprising citizens". The official representatives of the actor himself have not yet commented on this situation.

Recall that Leonardo DiCaprio has long and very consistently engaged in environmental protection and participates in many similar programs, both organizationally and financially.
