Aquaman director James Wan decided to return to the genre that made him popular in Hollywood. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he will be producing the movie adaptation of Stephen King's famous piece The Lot.

Wang intends to implement this project in collaboration with Gary Doberman, with whom he previously worked on the development of the series of movies "The Conjuring" .

Published in 1975, King's book tells the story of a writer who returns to his hometown to write about an abandoned mansion and overcome his childhood fears. He discovers that the estate was bought by a mysterious man from Europe, and over time realizes that the townspeople are slowly but surely turning into vampires.

The action of the novel has already been transferred to screens earlier in 1979 and 2004. The latest version is called Salem's Fate. The main roles were played by Rutger Hauer, James Cromwell, Donald Sutherland, Samantha Mathis, Andre Broger, Rob Lowe and others. The movie adaptation was not very popular with viewers.

The new version does not have a director yet, it is quite possible that either Wang or Doberman would like to take this post.
