The spread of the coronavirus has hit not only the Hollywood movie industry, but the adult movie industry as well. According to Buzzfeed, the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) has recommended that pornographic studios stop working by at least March 31, 2020.

The call for closure affects approximately 2,000 actors and most adult content production companies in North America, which use the FSC PASS system, which checks for sexually transmitted infections.

According to existing rules, actors are required to be tested every two weeks and are not allowed to work if they test positive for any of the tests or not.

"This is a very difficult choice. The choice between risks, associated with the spread of the disease, and the financial crisis, commented the owner of the studio Luster Productions. “We know that many of the people who work for us are very dependent on the income they receive, and this gives great importance to such discussions.”

Note that the porn industry has been going through difficult times in recent years, when large thematic aggregators have made available an almost unlimited amount of content completely free.
