The performer of the role of Princess Leia Carrie Fisher was awarded the main music award - Grammy at the 60th American Academy of Recording Awards held in the USA. The actress won the Best Audiobook nomination for her memoir, The Princess Diaries.

The book focused primarily on her work on Star Wars: Episode 4 - A New Hope. After the publication of these memoirs, in particular, it became known about the novel by Fisher herself and the performer of the role of Han Solo, Harrison Ford. This was the second Grammy nomination for Fisher, previously she was nominated for an Academy of Recording award in 2009.

As a reminder, Carrie Fisher died in December 2016 of a heart attack that happened to her during a flight from London, where she participated in the presentation of her book "Memoirs of a Princess". At the time of her death, Fisher had finished movieing for the eighth episode of "Star Wars".

She was supposed to have a significant role in the ninth episode, but the dramatic denouement made adjustments to the plans of studio Lucasmovie. Its leadership has repeatedly stressed that it does not intend to recreate the image of Princess Leia using computer graphics.
