After the unsuccessful development of the DC movie starring Batman and Superman, Warner Bros. intends to shift the attention of viewers to less popular, but nonetheless classic comic book characters. According to The Hollywood Reporter, in the near future, a movie about the Plastic Man will be launched.

Note that this character, created in 1941 by Jack Cole, was not originally owned by DC, but was acquired by the company in 1956 year.

Under the guise of this hero hiding former crook Patrick "Eel" O'Brian. He once participated in the robbery of the Crawford Chemistry Institute, was injured and exposed to an unknown chemical liquid. The gang left him for dead, but Patrick was saved by a monk. Coming to his senses, he discovers that under the influence of chemicals his body had acquired extraordinary flexibility. Realizing the nearness of death and in gratitude for his salvation, he decides to put an end to his criminal past and take up the fight against evil.

At a certain stage, the Plastic Man was a member of the Justice League. Several animated movies have been dedicated to him, but the character has not previously appeared on the big screens.

Recall that the 2017 movie adaptation of DC's Justice League was a box office failure.
