Matt Reeves and his studio 6th & Idaho has signed a deal with Netflix under which the streaming service will receive exclusive rights to all of the director's subsequent directing and producing projects. This is reported by the publication Deadline.

Thus, Reeves did not renew a similar agreement between him and the studio 20th Century Fox, for which he shot two movies from the "Planet of the Apes" series. For Netflix, the contract with such a sought-after director is extremely important, as the company plans to continue investing in the creation of full-length content.

In particular, Netflix has already given the green light to the production of a sequel to the sci-fi movie "Brightness", despite not too flattering reviews.

As for Matt Reeves, at the time of this writing, he is still credited with directing the Batman solo movie, which Warner Bros. The prospects for this project at the end of 2017 were not clear, due to the lack of a script approved by the studio and uncertainty with the leading actor. It is also unknown what impact Reeves' new deal with Natflix will have on Batman's solo album.
