9 Reasons Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 Share

It hasn't been a long time since the release of Avengers: Infinity War, and the air is still vibrating.

This blockbuster behemoth is already on track for its eventual $ 2 billion, but more importantly, the impact it has on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The gathering of all heroes, considered the culmination of Marvel's project, completely changed the rules of the game, allowing the villain to win and many favorite heroes to die.

Of course, it's true that in Avengers 4, the creators will somehow have to redo a lot of what has already happened in Infinity War. But the recently released film still largely determines the future of the MCU. And the future will begin very soon with Ant-Man and the Wasp this summer, which actually takes place before Infinity War, as well as with the release of Captain Marvel in March 2019. The action takes place there in the 1990s. As a reminder, Brie Larson will play the role of Carol Danvers.

Following these films, "Avengers 4" will mark the new climax of the MCU as we know it before the fourth phase arrives. There's a lot going on in the 2 1/2 hour film, including the preparation of the next 3 Marvel films.

Quantum Reality Will Become Important

Although the movie takes place in the time frame before Infinity War (and after The First Avenger), Ant-Man and the Wasp is supposed to act as a bridge between the Avengers. Otherwise, it would be difficult to imagine why Marvel arranged the films in this order.

Quantum reality is the best way to serve as this bridge: the subatomic dimension that Scott visited in the first film and where they will return in the sequel to rescue Hope van Dyne.

Quantum reality could also provide a clue to Carol Danvers' whereabouts after the events in her film and / or provide a connection to Avengers 4 with dimensional transitions as a vehicle for the heroes to return.

Looking forward to an explanation from Captain Marvel

In the post-credits scene of Infinity War, Nick Fury's relationship with Captain Marvel is very expressive.

Everything would be fine if we didn't have a couple of big questions on this score: namely, where was Captain Marvel all this time and why Fury, as far as we know, did not try to contact her.

The Captain Marvel movie has a lot to accomplish, introducing a new hero and the war between the Kree and the Skrulls. But continuing the line of "War of Infinity" the most important thing is how and for what in the future Fury is connected with her, as well as where in the end she is herself, which we will probably find out about by the end of the film.

Thanos vs. Carol Danvers

In addition to her own movie, Infinity War, has prepared Captain Marvel for the present, as she will receive the signal and help the Avengers take down Thanos.

Image

While the most powerful heroes of the Earth are making that mess, in particular Thor (this greatly increases the chances of winning), Captain Marvel will perform in a completely different category. According to what the filmmakers say, she will be the most powerful hero in the MCU.

Thanos still wields the gauntlet, albeit damaged, so it will be quite interesting to watch the two exchange blows while making it pretty clear in Infinity War that she is going to be the true savior of the galaxy.

Return of Hawkeye

The Infinity War ad campaign made sure everyone had the name Hawkeye on everyone's lips because Jeremy Renner didn't show up with a bow and arrow.

Image

This has led to many questions and theories. But Infinity War came out with only one mention of Clint Barton. However, this will change in Avengers 4.

We know Hawkeye will be in the movie. Combining this fact with what happened at the end of Infinity War, we can assume that Clint's family likely fell victim to Thanos as well, forcing him to return to continue the battle with his old comrades.

Doctor Strange knew how to win

Doctor Strange saw 1,400,605 potential outcomes against Thanos, of which only one could be won by the Avengers. However, his words to Tony Stark that he is in the "final game" and his sudden desire to sacrifice the Time Stone to save Stark means that Stark has yet to prove himself.

Image

While the future in Avengers 4 is not clear, we understand that Tony is extremely important to the new film. He is the only one who knows that Strange saw that they could win. Thus, he will be able to combine what he saw with the real road to victory. Strange saw it, and now Stark has to turn it into reality.

Gamora will follow Thanos

Russo explained the appearance in the finale of young Gamora in the World of Souls. They claim that this is more of a "spiritual incarnation of Gamora" and should not be understood as her imprisonment.

Image

So it is possible that in the future we will see the return of a character (featuring Zoe Saldana) who should have remained dead. Still, Gamora's arrival will be delayed.

She is the only one Thanos loves, and he decided to kill her. This kind of sacrifice is not one that can be performed with a snap of the fingers. The Crazy Titan probably thinks he's won, but it's his decision and Gamora's spectrum that will haunt him, as we'll see in Avengers 4.

The Fallen Must Return

The ending of Infinity War is brutal. The heroes fall like flies before turning to ash. But this cannot be the final chord. Although there will be consequences of what happened, and the heroes will have to cope with the fact that they have died, but at the same time they certainly need to return. It's a simple business decision: the stars have signed contracts and already confirmed sequels.

Image

Spiderman is expecting a sequel that comes out immediately after Avengers 4. They are followed by the Guardians of the Galaxy, and their billion-dollar fundraising guarantees that Black Panther 2 is coming soon.

Perhaps not everything will go as smoothly as expected, and some of the fallen heroes will not return to life (although in reality it is only Nick Fury and Maria Hill for whom there is no future), but most of what we know about Avengers 4 will focus on bringing fallen heroes back to life.

Time travel, dimension change, or something else?

The easiest way to reverse what Thanos did is to use the Time Stone. But since it is now owned by the Crazy Titan, it is unlikely that it can be obtained and used for its intended purpose. How is the return of heroes possible?

Image

Time travel can be such an option, especially since it is possible to some extent for Shuri and Tony Stark to invent a way to go back. Perhaps it will be a combination of time travel with alternate dimensions?

When Ant-Man and the Wasp are able to jump into the Quantum Reality, a place where time doesn't matter, then maybe this is a way that can be used to jump back for the Avengers? Or is it a more direct way of using the multiverse that Quantum Reality opens up?

Another alternative is Stark's BARF technology, which was designed to help the user forget traumatic events, but could now be used to figure out important details of the past that will help change the future.

So who will survive?

Going against all theories about who will die, almost everyone but a few, such as Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, are killed in Infinity War. But this is even more in favor of the fact that "Avengers 4" will be the last appearance even for the survivors. Plus, many of the actors are about to end their contracts.

Image

The idea of exchanging one life for another will most likely see its continuation in Avengers 4, because we are waiting for the return of the deceased heroes at the expense of those who are still alive, but after they make their last journey. p>
