A new part of the Gothic series in development - Piranha Bytes will revive the legendary RPG
For all RPG fans, there is extremely positive news: the staff of the Piranha Bytes studio, who are known as the most talented RPG developers in Germany, announced the start of work on the creation of a new part of Gothic. Whether there will be a game with a numerical subtitle or a relaunch of the series is still unclear, gameplay mechanics and plot are also at the planning stage. The minimal amount of details is compensated by the fact that the fathers of the series who took part in the creation of the very first Gothic of 2001 were involved in the development of the potential Gothic 5. Including Jennifer and Bjorn Panratz, who currently run the Piranha Bytes studio, as well as legendary composer Kai Rosenkraz. Without his music, perhaps all parts of the series would have lost at least half of their charm. If you still remember a project called Arcania Gotic 4, which was greeted with disgrace by game critics and fans of the series, then you can rest assured. The people who put their hands on the creation of "Arkania" were not involved in the development of a new game in the series. Gothic 5 will be produced by renowned RPG masters, whose latest work was ELEX, released in 2017. The project received mixed reviews from critics, but it was in the role-playing part - there were a minimum of complaints.  We hope Piranha Bytes will take into account all the mistakes of their past projects when creating Gothic 5 and will triumphantly revive the legendary series of role-playing games. As a reminder, we included Gothic 2 in the top of the best RPGs of all time, so the developers will have to work hard to meet the expectations of the fans of the series.
