Devices of the Galaxy A line will receive cameras with a resolution of up to 108 megapixels next year

This model year's Galaxy A series has been selling well from the outset. In the second quarter of this year alone, more than 12 million products of this line were shipped from the company's warehouses to Europe. If we talk about other parts of the world, then in India alone, within forty days after the start of sales, two million devices were sold, the main ones among which were modifications of the Galaxy A10, A30 and A50.

Inspired by their success, the company's engineers are hard at work on the products for the upcoming 2020 model year. Little is known about them yet, but almost all leaks tell that large-scale updates of the hardware component of gadgets and their cameras will be carried out.

The flagship of the most popular line will be the Samsung Galaxy A91, which will replace the currently on sale Galaxy A90. With a high degree of probability, we can assume that this device will receive a camera with a 108 megapixel sensor. Its development was carried out jointly with the Chinese Xiaomi.

This sensor enables 6K (6014 x 3384p) video recording at 30 frames per second. It is one of the main components of Tetracell technology, which combines four pixels into one for better low-light photography.

With the help of the auxiliary camera, it becomes possible to obtain 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle images. To completely improve the photo capabilities, a 12 megapixel sensor will probably be used, which, in conjunction with a telephoto lens, will be equipped with a 5x optical zoom.

With a high degree of probability, the company will install a Time-of-Flight camera on some modifications of the flagship product, allowing to take high-quality portrait shots.

Insiders report that the Galaxy A81 will cost a little less than the leader of the line, and its equipment will be slightly inferior to it. This primarily concerns the camera system, where minor changes will occur. It is likely that here the main sensor will receive a resolution of only (!) 64 Mp. The auxiliary lens will only support 2x zoom, not 5x.

Galaxy A71 will be the third in its capabilities. It is equipped with a Time-of-Flight lens and a 12MP auxiliary sensor with 2x optical zoom. The sensor with ultra-wide shooting capabilities will also be 12-megapixel. The main sensor of this device will receive a resolution of 48 megapixels.

The photo capabilities of the Galaxy A61 will not differ much from this smartphone. The main one here will be a 48 megapixel sensor, which will be accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens that supports 2x optical zoom. The depth sensor is used here the most common, 5 megapixel.

A similar sensor is used in the Galaxy A51 version. Its main difference from the previous model will be the presence of an ultra-wide-angle camera with a 12 megapixel lens. The main sensor will receive a resolution of 32 megapixels.

The rest of the models, including the Galaxy A41, Galaxy A31 and Galaxy A21, will be equipped with 5 megapixel depth sensors. With a high degree of probability, they will be deprived of telephoto lenses, and the capabilities of wide-angle lenses will be reduced to 8 megapixels.

The main cameras of smartphones A41, A31 and A21 will be content with 24, 16 and 13 megapixel sensors, respectively.

It is assumed that this manufacturer will bring another model to the market next year - Galaxy A11, but nothing is known about its technical capabilities yet.

Apple's tablet will be the first to receive a triple camera module

Samsung has set a new trend in the tablet market, but Apple will take it to the next level. The first most requested dual-camera tablet was the Galaxy Tab S6. However, in a few months it will be overtaken by the new generation iPad.

It is already known that this device will have two sensors on the back. From leaks it became known that the iPad Pro (2019) will receive as many as three lenses.

Experts immediately began to wonder about the meaning of this approach. It all depends on how much the manufacturer himself can justify the need to equip his products with such functionality.

There may be several reasons for placing so many cameras. Improved photo and video capabilities may be in demand, for example, from filmmakers or artists. However, not everyone will enjoy taking long-term shots with a tablet, it is not very comfortable to hold.

It is not yet clear how Yabloko will justify the need to use so many lenses on their iPad Pros. It is possible that they will be in demand among video bloggers in augmented reality. The last factor is one of the most significant.
