At the international exhibition Computex 2018, ASUS presented its brainchild - the gaming smartphone ROG Phone with a number of new features. So what do we know about the new gadget.

Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (8 cores) with a clock frequency of 2.96 GHz, RAM - 8 GB , screen with a resolution of 2160 ? 1080 pixels, USB Type-C ports. The smartphone connects to the supplied base station with multiple interfaces. This makes it possible to connect the gadget with a keyboard, a separate display, a computer mouse, and you can simultaneously with all at once. There are also a few more accessories for the ROG Phone. One of them is WiGig Dock, with the help of which the picture from the phone screen is transmitted to the TV in the "here and now" mode. The display of the novelty was developed taking into account those properties that often characterize gaming monitors, namely, a low response time and a good refresh rate. For the new ROG Phone, these numbers are 90 Hz and 1 ms, respectively. Compared to high-end monitors for gamers, the performance falls short, but more than decent for smartphones.

Since the smartphone was specially designed for mobile toys, the developers put a capacious 4000 mAh battery in the gadget. Also, the device can be used for fast charging technology, with the help of which the smartphone charges more than 50% in 30 minutes.

External data

The ASUS ROG Phone gaming gadget looks like gaming laptops from the Republic of Gamers family. There is a metal edging along the edges of the gadget, on the back there is a glass panel, under which there is a built-in cooling system. The camera lenses are protected by glass, there is also a fingerprint scanner.

The gadget is cooled both inside and outside. A special GameCool cooling system is assembled under the body of the device, where there is also an evaporation chamber. But external cooling with a built-in fan can also be connected to a smartphone. The external accessory is charged by the ROG Phone's built-in battery and connects to an unusual Type-C-based dual port.

The final price of the novelty has not yet been established, although its approximate guidelines lie within $ 1000 and more. If you have accessory accessories, the cost can double.
