A new installment in Ubisoft's hit stealth-action series, Assassins Creed Odyssey is in danger of becoming one of the most innovative games in the franchise. The developers decided to completely change the gameplay concept, thanks to which the game will turn from an ordinary action adventure into an RPG. How good an RPG will turn out from Odyssey and how the RPG elements will affect gameplay will be revealed by the game's creative director Scott Phillips.

It will not hide the fact that one of the weakest elements of the series is simple side quests. Yes, the storyline itself and the main tasks delight with a good setting and well-written dialogues, but if you decide to start exploring the open world of the game, then very soon you will meet with the usual routine. The negligence of secondary tasks is especially acute against the background of The Witcher 3, which recently celebrated its third anniversary.

But everything must change in Assassins Creed Odyssey, in which the developers when creating quests are guided by the best role-playing games, including The Witcher 3. Additional missions will be able to largely enrich the role-playing elements on which the main stake in the game Assassins Creed Odyssey.

“It seems to me that in our new game we will be able to offer players much more interesting and varied tasks. The choice of the player in how exactly he wants to solve the quest and how he will interact with the characters depends on the ending of the task, which will have far-reaching consequences. Another important innovation that can affect the gameplay of Assassins Creed Odyssey will be the choice of the gender of the protagonist. This decision will affect both the plot and quests itself, and the entire game world. " - said Scott Phillips.

We can only hope that Ubisoft will really take the role-playing elements into the game with all responsibility and we will get one of the best parts in the history of Assassins Creed. The wait isn't long - Odyssey is expected to be released on October 5, 2018.
