Microsoft unveils new Surface PC, tablet and laptop
Microsoft has expanded its Surface series with new devices - Surface Studio 2, Surface Pro 6, and Surface Laptop 2. Externally, the devices are not much different from previous versions, but their equipment has become more powerful and a black version has been added. The lineup also includes Surface Headphones. Powerful Surface Studio 2According to the manufacturer, the new Surface Studio 2 computer has become the most powerful and fastest among all the representatives of the series of the same name. The diagonal of the display remains the same as in the previous version - 28 inches. Microsoft reports improvements in brightness and contrast characteristics, as well as an overall increase in graphics performance by more than half when compared to its predecessor. The all-in-one is equipped with an Nvidia graphics card based on the GeForce GTX 1060 and Pascal architecture. The device screen can detect more than 4000 degrees of pressure on the Surface Pen. Additionally, you can use the stylus at an angle if the display is used as a large tablet. The all-in-one integrates the Xbox Wireless tool, which connects Xbox One controllers. The PC is powered by an Intel Core i7 chipset, and the new product is equipped with an SSD with a capacity of up to 2 TB to replace hybrid hard drives. Premium Surface Pro 6 Surface Pro 6 received an eight-core Intel Core i5 chipset. The internal architecture of the 12.3-inch tablet with optional keyboard has been redesigned, which, according to the manufacturer, provides a more efficient cooling system. The basic configuration turned out to be cheaper than the previous model ( $ 899 instead of $ 999 ), however, the RAM became larger - 8 GB instead of the previous 4 GB. Microsoft claims a 70% increase in performance for the new tablet and calls battery life up to 13 hours. Specialists and the media expressed surprise at the lack of a modern USB-C port in Surface Pro 6 (only USB-A with USB 3.1 is available), despite the fact that such a port is present in the more budgetary Surface Go tablet. Powerful Surface Laptop 2The 13.5-inch Surface Laptop 2 Ultrabook is powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 quad-core processor. The base configuration contains 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage (maximum SSD storage is 1 TB). According to the company, the laptop can work offline for more than 14 hours.  By analogy with Surface Pro 6, the presented laptop does not have a USB-C connector, but there are USB-A ports, Mini Display, standard 3.5 mm audio port and branded Surface Connector. The base build is priced at $ 999 (platinum), the new black option is slightly more expensive at $ 1299 and assumes at least 256GB of internal storage.
