A striking fiery red version of the Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design is now available for purchase from Chinese suppliers.

The most advanced model with 512 GB flash memory will cost customers $ 2050 , and the standard one in 256 GB - $ 1600. For a price that even Apple couldn't afford with its super-innovative iPhone X, the latest flagship on Android is now on offer.

Huawei justifies the giant price tag with a bunch of unique innovations:

• PCM cooling system;
• triple camera module up to 40 MP;
• the latest Huawei AI processor;
• unusually capacious battery for such a powerful device (4000 mAh);
• two biometric fingerprint scanners (one display and one standard on the back).

In this case, different scanners can be used to access different areas of the device - public, guest or Private Space.

It's all about cooling

Mate RS is the world's first smartphone with PCM microcapsule cooling system. This technology is used in aerospace equipment, and Huawei proudly assures that under the toughest loads, the Mate RS will maintain its declared performance, and its owner will forever forget about the feeling of a hot smartphone in his hand.

The Mate RS was unveiled in March along with other new products from the manufacturer - the P20 and P20 Pro. But unlike them, the Mate RS has a higher-resolution QHD + screen and does not have a 10th iPhone-style monobrow. Both versions of the device come with 6GB of RAM, Android 8.1 Oreo and a triple camera created in collaboration with Leica, a German photography manufacturer.

If the P20 Pro has the lenses arranged horizontally, then in the Mate RS they have a vertical arrangement in the top-center part of the back cover. Immediately below them are the flash module, laser focus, fingerprint scanner and a small logo.

It's already available for pre-order in Europe

Several European retailers have already started collecting pre-orders for the super-Android 256GB. It remains unknown to which markets the Chinese will supply the 512 GB version. Huawei has confirmed that they intend to sell only a black smartphone outside their country, while the red one will remain exclusively for the domestic market. It is also known that the Mate line will not be sold in the US, like the other flagships from the P20 series.
