Iron Man VR, Mortal Kombat 11, Days Gone and other trailers and premieres from State of Play

Recently, at the State of Play show, small novelties and fresh trailers of games we already know were presented. There were no loud announcements, but we have selected for you the most interesting of what was shown.

Oldsook vs. Newschool - the new trailer for Mortal Kombat 11. In the new trailer for the fighting game, we were shown meeting the same characters from different generations. This is how the old Scorpio fights with the new one, Raiden cleans the face of his old, and so on. Even in the music for the trailer, we were shown the confrontation between the new and the old school: Ice Cube - Check Yo Self versus Vince Staples - Blue Suede. The game is scheduled for release on April 23.

Drama in the new Days Gone trailer . The developer reminds in his trailer of the harsh post-apocalyptic world where the main character will have to fight zombies and marauders. The game will throw us into an open world, through which we will travel on our trusty bike. Days Gone will be released exclusively on PS4 on April 26th.

Iron Man VR Announcement - State of Play has announced a rail-based VR shooter about Iron Man with costume costemization. You will need two PS Move controllers to play. The game will be released this year.

Five Nights At Freddy's VR: Help Wanted - Another more or less interesting announcement was Five Nights At Freddy's for VR. If you are not tired of working as a security guard in a diner and fighting animatronics, and your soul craves even more thrills, then this game is especially for you.

Observation - the project has already been dubbed as "A Space Odyssey of 2001, Only You Play as HAL 9000". At State of Play, we were shown not only a new trailer, but also opened up an opportunity for pre-order. And here's a surprise - it turned out that the game is another Epic Store exclusive.

Trover Saves the Universe game from the creator of "Rick and Morty" will be released on May 31

Trover Saves the Universe was created by Justin Roland, the creator of Rick and Morty. Therefore, it is not surprising that the game has the trademark humor of the series. In the story, the villain Glorkon stole your dogs and shoved them into his eye sockets. As it turns out, the dogs give him powerful power and if you do not stop him, he will destroy the universe. The game can be described in words: "A mixture of the adventures of Thanos and" Big Lebowski "in the setting of" Rick and Morty "". The game can already be pre-ordered:

  • PS Store - 1,799 rubles. [RUB 1,619 for PS Plus subscribers]
  • Steam - 463 rubles.
  • Epic Store - 1,079 rubles

In Cyberpunk 2077 you will find quests with five options for passing

There was no doubt that the new game from CDPR will be very variable in its passage. However, the studio staff clarified how variable it will be. This was written by one of the users of Reddit in his post, referring to the podcast of the German gaming publication GameStar, which featured CDPR quest designer Philip Weber and level designer Miles Toast. Here's what the user noticed:

  • At one point, when the player is ordered to drop the weapon, the developers have provided several options for the development of events after disarmament, including the option not to drop the weapon.
  • The variety of assignments will be based on the plot.
  • The total number of quests will increase compared to Withcer Wild Hunt.
  • Missions will include 3-5 ways of passing.

The release date of the game is not yet known, most likely we will find out at E3 2019 .

A cosmo-porn RPG is getting ready on Steam - the developer has almost finished crowdfunding

A game called Subverse is produced by the Studio FOW team, which previously worked on the creation of porn with 3D women. If we talk about the connection with the gaming industry, the studio released a couple of works on the universe of Bioshock and Mass Effect ... The creation of such a project is apparently an ambitious undertaking, since the authors decided to go into game development.

In Subverse, the creators have mixed many elements: space battles in the shoot 'em up style, turn-based battles, a dialogue system, pumping, costemization and star exploration. We will have a ship at our disposal, as well as an elite squad of "comic waifu warriors." You need to build relationships with them, as well as sleep. And yes, the process itself will be shown in detail. The game is being developed with Unreal Engine 4. Anyway, call Cloud Imperium games and tell them we don't need their Star Citizen, let them cancel.

The money is collected through Kickstarter. In two weeks, the game has already raised 121,000 out of 132,000 dollars. The developers write that Subverse would not have been possible without Gabe. Its page has already been created on Steam, and the project itself is starting in Early Access this summer. We hope the developers will confine themselves to declaring their love to Gabe only in words, and will not show the process itself in the game.

EA will lay off 350 employees. Branches of USA and Japan will be cut back

And again a wave of layoffs. EA plans to cut 350 employees from marketing, publishing and others. The move includes the closure of offices in USA and Japan. Kotaku was able to obtain a copy of an email explaining the upcoming environment to employees. It says it is doing this to optimize the mentioned departments.

One of the company's bosses says that the need arose after the consolidation process that began at the end of last year. And all this is for the benefit of the company becoming "the greatest in the gaming industry." EA will also help dismissed employees by giving them other positions in the company, or in some other way, which is not specified.

According to known data, the Moscow office of the company will be closed, and some of its employees will be transferred to the eastern divisions, as well as to "emerging markets". The changes will not affect the support and localization of the company's games in USA, nor will they affect the presentation of EA products either digitally or in retail. The process of selecting a partner in USA for distribution will take up to three months.

Moons of Madness space horror based on the works of Lovecraft

Horror games and the work of Howard Lovecraft are closely related. A new game from the Funcom studio reminds of this. It takes place at a research station located on Mars. A mysterious signal begins to flow to her. Engineer Shane Newhart will go to investigate.

The developers at Rock Pocket Games say the game combines Lovecraft horror with a scientific setting. Horror events take place in the MMORPG Secret World Legends universe.

The game will be released on PC, PS4 and XOne closer to Halloween October 31

New Besthesda Games Coming To Steam

If earlier the company tried to sell games itself on its site, now it became known that Rage 2, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot [game for VR] and DOOM Eternal will get to Steam. Fallout 76 will also crawl to the store. The company announced this on its twitter.

Well, now Steam can also boast of its exclusives. By the way, Rage 2 is already available for pre-order. Its cost is 1,999 and 2,499 rubles [standard and Deluxe edition].

This was all the important news from the beginning of the week.
