Chinese tech giant Huawei unveiled several new developments this week. They were all unveiled at the same time as the long-awaited announcement of the P30 and P30 Pro smartphones on March 26th.

Huawei P30 and P30 Pro: smartphones with good cameras

These two devices embody the very latest achievements of Chinese engineering. These devices have large screens, thin bezels and small cutouts for the front cameras. However, their main feature is the presence of a triple unit of the main camera, capable of taking pictures in almost any conditions and of good quality.

The Huawei P30 has a 40MP f / 1.6 wide-angle sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f / 2.2 aperture and another 8MP f / 2.4 telephoto lens with 3x magnification.

Representatives of the company said that if the user is not enough to enlarge the subject by 3 times, it is possible to use the "hybrid zoom" mode. It achieves 5x magnification by combining optical and digital zoom.

The more advanced Huawei P30 Pro received two main camera sensors, the indicators of which are similar to the above. Only the ultra-wide-angle lens has 20 megapixels and f / 2.2 aperture.

The smartphone has Time of Flight technology that allows you to collect depth information, recognize faces, and take bokeh-style photos where the background is blurred.

Representatives of the developer company said that the telephoto lens of the device received a periscope design, so that it is placed compactly. In addition to 5x zoom, it features 10x hybrid and 50x digital zoom.

During the presentation of these devices, Huawei employees showed a photo of the Eiffel Tower taken with the P30 Pro camera. It was at a decent distance, but despite this, using the optical zoom allowed one of the inscriptions on the tower to be read in the picture.

Huawei P30 Pro has a 6.5-inch curved OLED display, 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. He was allocated 8 GB of RAM, the built-in memory can be from 128 to 512 GB. The battery received a capacity of 4200 mAh.

The junior device was equipped with a 3650 mAh battery and a 6.1-inch display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It also has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM.

Both models are equipped with a Kirin 980 chipset, selfie cameras have a resolution of 32 megapixels.

Various accessories and smart glasses

Besides smartphones, the company presented a number of accessories. One of these is the Huawei Freelace wireless headphones. They work in two modes: wireless and with a cable connected to the USB Type-C port.

9.2mm dynamic drivers provide good sound quality. Titanium-coated thermoplastic polyurethane was used in their manufacture. The microphone body has received an additional channel for air passage. This helps reduce wind noise.

The headphone cable is silicone coated. It also has an IPx5 waterproof rating and magnetic clips that turn on standby when in use.

There are also control buttons that allow you to adjust the volume, activate the voice assistant, switch tracks.

The device has received the HiPair function, thanks to which, when first turned on, it is paired with a smartphone. They are capable of working in a talk mode for 12 hours and 12 days in standby. They will start selling on April 12 for $ 99. The earbuds are available in four color options to match the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro colors.

Huawei has partnered with Gentle Monster to develop smart glasses that can work with a Bluetooth headset. The use of optical or sun-protection lenses is allowed, the device is protected from water according to the IP67 standard. There is also an NFC module that allows wireless charging of glasses.

The company also introduced the Huawei Watch GT smart watch. Two models were announced - 1.39 and 1.22 inches. The second received a ceramic bezel. The devices are able to function autonomously for almost 14 days. They know how to monitor heart rate, control sleep, and issue recommendations during exercise.

The cost of the watch is between $ 229-249.
