Detroit Become Human Airdrop on the Epic Games Store and Sergey Galenkin's Hypocrisy

The Epic Games Store regularly distributes games of various sizes and it would seem that this is a standard practice that can hardly surprise, but EPic Games has managed to exceed even the most daring expectations. Detroit Become Human, recently announced exclusively for the Epic Games Store, has a "Free" tag. An attraction of unprecedented generosity, especially when you consider that the game still does not have a release date. But it turned out to be not so simple.

A few hours later, the label "Free" was changed to "Coming soon" and Epic Games Publishing Strategy Director Sergei Galenkin hastened to announce that the Detroit Become Human free distribution is just a bug. Over time, the Epic Games Store will pick up the game from the library of all users who have already exploited the bug. In general, there is nothing strange in such an act by Epic Games, if not for the former words of Sergei Galenkin, exposing him to be a hypocrite.

Only recently in the podcast "How Games Are Made" Sergey Galenkin argued that if, under some conditions, even because of a bug, users were able to get the game for free, then the store administration will not take it away under any circumstances (see starting at 2:00:08). Policy in the style of "Everything for users", but this is the case when words are at odds with deeds.

In the comments under the video, users have already expressed their own indignation at the current situation.
