South Korean tech giant Samsung continues its development and pursuit of its main competitor from the United States. The company recently unveiled two new devices, and another foldable product is expected to be announced soon. Let's talk about this in more detail.

Smartphones with powerful batteries and triple cameras

Samsung has expanded its Galaxy A lineup. Two new low-cost smartphones, the Galaxy A40s and A60, have recently been announced. The first has a 6.4-inch AMOLED Infinity-U display with Full HD resolution. A small cutout was made at the top of its display for a 16MP front camera.

The rear panel houses a fingerprint scanner sensor and a triple unit of the main camera. Its main sensor received a resolution of 13 megapixels. The other two lenses, working in depth and for wide-angle shooting, have the same 5 megapixel.

The entire hardware stuffing of the product is commanded by the Samsung Exynos 7904 chipset with 6 GB of "RAM" and 64 GB of internal memory.

The developer is especially proud of the device's battery, which has a significant 5000 mAh capacity. The smartphone can quickly charge within 15W power range. This process will not take too long.

The Galaxy A60 gadget was equipped with an Infinity-O LCD display with a diagonal of 6.3 inches, a resolution of the Full HD class. Its selfie camera is located in the upper left corner of the front panel. It has 32 megapixels in its asset.

The device also has a fingerprint scanner and a triple main camera module. Its sensors have a resolution of 32, 8 and 5 megapixels. The second is ultra wide, the third is deep.

Under the hood, this smartphone has a Snapdragon 675 processor, to which 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory are allocated. Its 4500mAh battery is charged using 25W fast charging.

Both smartphones run on Android 9 Pie platform. When the Galaxy A40s and A60 will go on sale, the Koreans have not reported. It is known that they will cost $ 223 and $ 298 US, respectively.

Another folding device

The Korean manufacturer has promised that the Galaxy Fold will be unveiled soon. Most likely, the waiting process will stretch indefinitely. The forerunners of this are messages from various countries. They indicate that Koreans are postponing the device's planned launch in several regions of the world.

The reasons for this are different. The official version implies more detailed training of personnel for an interesting presentation of a new product to users.

For example, the future owners of a folding gadget should be informed about the inadmissibility of removing the polyimide coating from its screen. It is an integral part of flexible display.

It became known that some journalists, who are actively interested in the device, tore off this cover, as a result of which disabled the product.

There are also rumors regarding another issue. Allegedly, in China, the developer fears for the operation of the plastic substrate of the folding device, the functioning of which caused a series of complaints during the tests. Samsung representatives plan to carefully study all the complaints received about the display coating and substrate. On this occasion, even the South Korean media were involved, who reported that the polymer substrate thinns the screen of the novelty by 50% in comparison with other smartphones.

This makes it possible to apply other design features that are currently being actively researched by the company. It plans to develop foldable G-type and S-type models within a year. The first of them will be taught to fold three times in the form of the letter G, and the second, by the type of flattened S. The diagonals of the devices will receive the corresponding sizes of 8 and 13 inches.

The latter is approximately equal to the parameters of its main competitor - Apple iPad Pro.

Recently, journalists interviewed one of the representatives of the developer company. He said that the parts used in the production of folding devices are similar to the usual ones. The main differences are in the display design process. Earlier, Samsung developed several form factors of folding mechanisms, received patents for them. The company is now close to implementing two of them.
