Panasonic showed a gadget for those who suffer from inattention and forgetfulness
A Japanese company has introduced a Panasonic gadget for forgetful users. Its principle of operation should help those who often or periodically leave the most necessary things at home. The concept called Hitokoe appeared as part of the specialized technology exhibition Slush Tokyo 2019. Panasonic's new gadget is a small panel supplemented by individual RFID tags with embedded QR codes. For the full operation of the Hitokoe system, there is also a special Panasonic mobile application. RFID markers are attached to almost all items that are usually forgotten: keys, phones, wallets, food containers, umbrellas, folders with business papers. After scanning the QR on the marker, each item is recorded in the mobile application on the smartphone. It is interesting that each item can be set its own parameters, focusing on the category to which a certain item belongs. These categories subdivide all custom items depending on their need every day, several times a week, or their need is due to certain conditions that can also be set in the program.
For example, if a person visits a sports section 2-3 times a week, the Panasonic gadget will tactfully remind you of the need to take a sports bag with equipment on that day. The device is placed next to the front door, and in the event that someone is going to go out into the street without taking an item that is included in the program, Hitokoe will inform about it.
The concept of the device has not yet been finalized and is periodically updated with the addition of new options. Thus, the Panasonic gadget for the forgetful is planned to be connected to online resources for monitoring traffic situations and meteorological platforms. Then the gadget will be able to notify about traffic jams and recommend, for example, taking an umbrella with you in anticipation of possible precipitation or closing windows in case of strong winds. Also, Hitokoe will implement a monitoring system for household items and household appliances, for example, to make sure that the iron is turned off for sure.
