Passwords are still the most popular way to log into profiles. However, this is not the safest method for this purpose. At the same time, scientists around the world continue to experiment with different ideas on how to offer us a more secure system for unlocking and authenticating our identity on the Internet. A team at the University of Buffalo believes the solution to the problem lies in systems that use users' brain impulses instead of fingerprints. For this, their devices will have special sensors that recognize this type of signal, which in practice cannot be falsified. Their project is based on the concept that the human brain is extremely complex and also works strictly individually for each person. This means that impulses and brain waves have a unique structure that can be easily used to identify the appropriate user. Experiments have shown that such a system recognizes a specific person in milliseconds, and its efficiency is about 95%. There is still a lot of work to be done on the technology, but scientists believe that brain waves may hold the key to developing a more effective way of identifying than the passwords that are in widespread use today.
