Best Star Wars Games

Star Wars is not just a movie series. For loyal fans, this is a whole universe with all its diversity and richness of life forms, characters, planets and oppositions. There are many Star Wars fans among gamers - both young players and representatives of the older generation, who saw the first episodes of the saga live.

The magic of Star Wars has captivated millions of people, including gamers, for over 40 years. Well, what fan has not dreamed of being in the role of one of the heroes of the famous saga? Here's a list of video games where you can truly experience the light and dark sides of the Force.

Star Wars: Battlefront II

In Brief: Multiplayer Singleplayer Campaign Shooter.

But to be honest, as a player, I like Battlefront II from 2006 much better. Although the graphics are worse there, it's easier and more interesting to play.

The developers of Battlefront II didn't get things right - at first, the game was hit by critics condemning the microtransaction system. But after recent changes, it is becoming more attractive. The creators have abandoned the sale of Star Cards that enhance the player in favor of cosmetic items. Free content is periodically added to the game in the form of new locations and heroes. In online galactic battles taking place on world famous planets, there is even the opportunity to incarnate as a furry Ewok in an exciting mode of fighting Empire stormtroopers.

Battlefront II - so far the only title where there is content based on the " The Last Jedi ", namely the battles on the planets Crate and D'Quar along with the opportunity to incarnate in Finn or Captain Phasmu. If you are not averse to singleplayer, you can give a chance to a short (and to be honest - a very stripped-down) campaign for one player.

In general , the product will definitely appeal to fans of online battles - the spirit of competition is at its height. The more virtual murders you make, the more new types of weapons will be available to you.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Briefly: an easy arcade game to play alone or with a companion on the same screen.

Star Wars has a lot in common with LEGO bricks - for example, both franchises are fun for older and younger generations. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a perfect example of this. The creators managed to find a balance between the game basis for children (corresponding to the level of difficulty) and the semantic component for mature fans of the series, with numerous hidden jokes and references.

But the most striking feature of the game is the ability to play together on a common screen and together experience all the adventures, helping each other. Compared to previous LEGO games, the creators have improved the graphic design and effectively implemented the possibilities of flight. For junior Jedi and Sith, this is definitely an interesting proposition.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

In short: a classic RPG, a real "beast" in its genre.

This is the RPG itself that every fan of the genre should play. In those days, Bioware was still able to both plot and combat, and did not rivet garbage.

Knights of the Old Republic is not only one of the best titles in the Star Wars universe, but is considered by many to be one of the most outstanding video games ever. Developers from BioWare, behind which are such hits as Mass Effect and Baldur's Gate, turned Star Wars into a classic RPG and implemented the principles of the system from Dungeons & Dragons. The action takes place almost 4000 years before the rise of the Empire. The story follows how the Sith Lord - the sinister Darth Malak - planned to destroy the thriving Republic.

It is difficult to list all the benefits of KotOR. It is an epic tale with a fantastic, truly cinematic storytelling full of emotion, intrigue, betrayal and love. As it should be in RPGs, players often have to make difficult choices, and their decisions will affect who they become - the hero of the light or dark side. Knights of the Old Republic is drawn to the top movie-saga, which, in addition to an exciting story, offers game entertainment lasting several tens of hours.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

In Brief: MMORPG, or an adventure for thousands of Jedi and Sith in one place.

An attempt to bring KotOR into the MMORPG world. The game falls far short of its pro father, but this game is not so bad without fish.

Here is BioWare's work in the MMORPG genre, or rather Star Wars RPG in a multiplayer game. Again, we return to the world of the Sith and the Republic, where we stand for one side, but are free to choose the other when making many decisions. Unlike the offline "relative" (see above), here is just a space for playing with friends in the same team, completing various missions and participating in battles with live opponents in PvP arenas.

The developers are still supporting the game and have already released several big add-ons for it. If you decide to become part of the Old Republic, keep in mind that while you can play for free, premium players have more advantages. From the subjective disadvantages - not everyone will like a specific, somewhat comic graphic design.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

In short: a slasher game where your main weapon in combat is a lightsaber.

The continuation of the Jedi Knight line is quite good. But let's be frank, we put it here only because this is actually the last part, but I personally Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy liked it more.

The Force Unleashed is a tempting proposition for action gamers. The game traces the events taking place in the time interval between the episodes "Revenge of the Sith" and "A New Hope". You have to find out how the Rebellion was born and the war with the Empire began. Incarnating as a student of Darth Vader, during the adventure you will meet not only your master, but also Princess Leia, the R2D2 robot and Boba Fett, as well as witness the landing of the Empire forces on the planet Kashyyyk and further events in the Cloud City and the Death Star.

In terms of gameplay, the game is a typical third-person action game, where sword combat and the use of the Force are primarily important. Shortly after the premiere, there were complaints of technical problems and bugs, but the developers soon sorted them out, and The Force Unleashed was successfully released on all major platforms.
