For example, there is a team that created a remake of Half-Life 2 on the engine of the first part, and there are enthusiasts who volunteered to develop Half-Life 3 on their own! But what certainly could not be expected from modders is Half-Life 2 Classic - a complete rework of the original game and transferring it to the engine of the first Half-Life, released in 1998. What goals are pursued by modders who create such demakes is unknown, but you can be sure that even the most ancient computer will now be able to run the second part of Gordon Freeman's adventures. And besides, it's always curious to see what the legendary game hits would have looked like if they had been released 6 or even 10 years earlier.  The creators of Half-Life 2 Classic additionally made sure that the game was comfortable and transferred the movement system and camera from the original Half-Life 2 to the demake. Among them, they did not forget about the gravity gun. At the same time, it is doubtful that Half-Life 2 Classic will match the 2004 draft. Numerous physics-tied puzzles were a distinctive feature of the game, and since the engine of the first HL does not support such technological sophistication, in the demo you will have to change numerous elements of locations and greatly simplify the gameplay.
