Apple has released official information with an apology to the owners of the MacBook Pro 2018 who discovered a bug with the device's cooling system. However, the company announced a fix for this problem.

The company said that it conducted detailed research to eliminate such a flaw. The manufacturer admits that the tests carried out have confirmed the existence of a problem with the laptop's critical overheating.

The reason for this was a software bug related to the lack of the necessary structural component for effective management of the cooling system. This caused the chipset to heat up, which in turn led to a decrease in the clock frequency.

Apple has informed users about the creation of an update for macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 to fix overheating of the device during active use.

Previously, users of the recently released novelty noticed that the MacBook Pro is exposed to extremely high temperatures during intensive use. This resulted in a general decrease in device performance, which does not allow the chipset to fail completely. The owners of the device were unhappy with the fact that they could not use the maximum technical capabilities of the MacBook, despite its high cost (the USA price of one of the top assemblies reaches 400,000 rubles).

Some time after the problem was discovered, Apple released a solution in the form of an update that aims to fix the flaw. According to the manufacturer, the new professional MacBooks with an Intel Core i9 processor will stop heating up to a critical level and thereby reduce their productivity.

Since the update is aimed at improving the current build and does not introduce other innovations, the decision of the company will make it in the current modification of macOS 10.13.6. Only her number will change. Therefore, only users of the affected MacBooks will be able to download the update.
