The cast of the crime drama "Triple Border" has undergone significant changes. According to the Deadline edition, Mark Wahlberg is going to take the place of Ben Affleck, who dropped out of the project. The movie will also star Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund and Pedro Pascal. Filming is expected to start in August 2017 and will take place in Hawaii and Colombia.

As previously reported, the movie should take place in one of the most dangerous regions of the planet - on the so-called triple border between the states of Paraguay , Brazil and Argentina. The governments of these countries and the security forces do not actually control this region, which is under the rule of various criminal communities.

Paramount Studio has been trying to implement this project for a long time, but ultimately abandoned it. Later he became interested in the streaming service Netflix, which offered the title role to Ben Affleck. But the latter, after much deliberation, refused to participate, citing health problems and the need to focus on solving family problems.

JC Chandor has been appointed director of the Triple Border. At the time of this writing, the movie's distribution schedule was unknown.
