Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Trailer & Details

Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment brought news of the new Star Wars game to the Star Wars Celebration. In the cinematic trailer, we were introduced to the main character Cal Kestis, voiced by Cameron Monaghan, familiar to many from his role as Jerome Valeska in the TV series "Gotham". Claire also has a BD-1 robot that developers have called him a true friend.

The antagonist is the Second Sister inquisitor using the Force. We were also shown a new class of attack aircraft "Cleaner", specializing in fighting Jedi.

And now to the most important thing. The game from the publisher, which three months ago argued that there was no future for singlepeople, will be story-driven, without multiplayer and microtransactions.

The day before the trailer was released, VG24 / 7 reporter spoke with Chris Avellone, who had worked as a screenwriter for Fallen Order.

He said that five more people are working with him on the script. Leading the team is Aaron Contreras, who led the story of Mafia III [here is a joke that Mafia 3 has no plot].

“The story was very important to Respawn. I think they've already done a pretty good job of incorporating different narrative layers into their games, but they think the story is an important part of what they consider to be a Star Wars game. This is one of the reasons I like Respawn, because when they do something like this, they understand what the important points are, ”Avellone says.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 15.

Horizon: Zero Dawn Actress Confirms Sequel Development

At the aforementioned Star Wars Celebration, there was one unintended announcement. It was not hard to guess that the sequel to Horizon: Zero Dawn, given the high ratings and sales, will definitely be. However, we now have proof - words by Janina Gavankar, actress from Horizon: Zero Dawn [also voiced by Eden Versio - the main character of the Star Wars: Battlefront II campaign].

At the festival, she spoke to one of the visitors, and she said that she played Horizon because of her. Gavankar replied as if nothing had happened: “Wait, you will see the sequel and you will simply die! I know some secrets, and I answer, you will die! "

In Horizon: Zero Dawn, Havankar played the role of Tatai, a minor character in The Frozen Wilds expansion. Apparently her character will appear in the second part of the game.

Reddit immediately started a discussion of this topic, and unexpectedly Kotaku journalist Jason Schreyer burst in there with the words: "I don't want to shock you with a lot of revelations, but God Of War will also have a sequel, even though we already guessed." >

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Gameplay Details

The Humankind Odyssey is a brand new game from Assassin's Creed creator Patrice Desile and Panache Digital Games. Its plot is dedicated to human evolution.

VG24 / 7 staff visited the studio's Montreal office and spoke with the main developer. Game Informer and Polygon have also recently written about the game. A lot can be said about gameplay now:

  • We will be traveling in a group of primates that can be switched between.
  • The company takes 40-50 hours of play. Desile says that if our entire group dies, the game will have to start over.
  • The action will unfold over 8 million years. The game will begin 10 million years before our era, and end in two million years before it began. The course of time is influenced by several events, such as the length of the genus - one generation pushes history 15 years ahead.
  • The studio is planning three games in total. The next parts will cover the later stages of evolution.
  • All clan members gain useful skills that one primate gains.
  • The movement system resembles Assassin's Creed - you can climb rocks, trees, swing on branches.
  • Leveling takes place by exploring the environment. It runs right into the character's brain. We supposedly create neural connections that help our charges develop, for example, make weapons.
  • The game will begin in the African jungle, but further evolution will throw us across the continent, and we will find ourselves, for example, in the savannah.

Journalists note that the gameplay is not very intuitive, but rather sets tasks. The author does not hide the fact that they focus on the fact that the user tries to figure it out himself, and the game will not be led by the handle. As Desile notes, his character died of blood loss. When the developer was asked how to stop it, he replied: “if I tell you, you will lose two hours of gameplay.”

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3 was all about the Sith

Obsidian Entertainment, responsible for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, was already working on a sequel when the project was canceled. Since then, we have not heard anything about him.

After Chris Avellone was asked about the new Star Wars game, he was asked a question about Kator 3.

“We immediately started to continue the game, because we always presented a trilogy. Even while working on the second game, we hinted at what Darth Revan was doing at the time. He did not always just blew everything up ruthlessly and thoughtlessly. He actually had a bigger shot, because there was a big threat hanging over the universe, ”says the writer.

In the story, we set off in the footsteps of Revan, where we met with the ancient Sith Lords, who were more powerful than ordinary ones. Some of them may have ruled entire regions of galaxies. All over the world, the terrible consequences of their actions could be found - this is how developers wanted to convey history through the environment.

They wanted to reveal these characters, letting us delve into their history and personality. Despite their strength, Chris notes, they are not as powerful as Lord Snoke from the seventh and eighth movie episodes of the universe.

Negative Atmosphere is like Dead Space, only Negative Atmosphere

The creators of this project were very much inspired by Dead Space and it can be seen. In the story, we, playing as a former military medic Samuel Edwards, find ourselves on a spaceship infected with a virus that turned all people into monsters. Samuel is gradually losing his mind and catching hallucinations.

The game is a true survival horror game, where you have to count every cartridge. It also features stealth, a wide range of melee and ranged weapons, hacking drones and robots, moving in zero gravity and a holographic interface inscribed in the environment.

The project is at the early alpha stage, so it's hard to talk about a release date. Negative Atmosphere is being developed with support from Patreon. The creators plan to make a demo version for an hour, after which they will roll out it on Kickstarter.

Another re-release of Age of Empire 2 will be released this year

Why re-release a game that was recently re-released is difficult to understand. The game will be called Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. Most likely, it will include The Conquerors expansion, which was released in 2000 for the original second part. On the other hand, for Age of Empires II HD Edition, three more expansions were released on Steam: The Forgotten, The African Kingdoms, and Rise of the Rajas.

And the meaning of releasing a reprint, which is less in content than the past, I repeat, is difficult to understand.

This was all news from the beginning of the week.
