The main stars of the Polish game industry CD Project RED have been developing their new role-playing project Cyberpunk 2077 in the strictest secrecy for more than five years. The veil of secrecy over the game may be revealed this summer at E3, which is confirmed by a recent statement site Everyeye.it.
The editor-in-chief of a gaming resource on Facebook published a message from which it became known that Polish developers are inviting popular gaming publications to show their new game. The closed demonstration of the project will last more than an hour, which clearly indicates that the developers have prepared something more than just another pack of maps for Gwent. The most obvious option is Cyberpunk 2077.
As befits in all such cases, CDPR refused to comment on the news, so we can only wait for June 12, when the start of the E3 exhibition.
The story of The Witcher 3, which was also shown at the exhibition behind closed doors for the press, could most likely repeat itself, and a month later a gameplay video was published on the Internet.
Recall that this is not the only news regarding Cyberpunk 2077. Last month, Polish developers refused to pay dividends to investors, which may be a sign of the imminent start of the game's marketing campaign. And given the recent announcement by CDPR representatives that they are going to follow in Bethesda's footsteps and minimize the time between the announcement and release of the game, then Cyberpunk 2077 can be expected to be released early next year.
We hope that the long development period did not degrade the quality of the game in any way and that Cyberpunk will even surpass The Witcher 3, which has reached a high position in our top of the best RPGs of all time.
