A little over half a year has passed, and the number of Samsung Internet installations has reached half a billion. Version 6.2 is compatible with the vast majority of smartphones and tablets running Android 5.0 Lollipop and later. The last update appeared in the store about two weeks ago. According to the developers, it contains many small fixes, performance improvements, and a number of new features: an updated download manager, support for Gear VR and 360 video format. Users describe it as a lightweight, responsive and extremely simple browser with built-in ad blocking function.  Why is he good?For a comfortable surfing experience, Samsung Internet Browser offers an additional contrast setting that makes text readable even in bright conditions. Using a special extension, bookmarks in Samsung Internet can be synchronized with the popular Chrome. But the most interesting feature of the application is the secret mode, which allows you to password-protect access to some web pages. Those who prefer browser versions of social networks do not have to log out of their account every time, handing over their smartphone to the wrong hands. In addition to a 4-digit set of numbers, a fingerprint scanner can be used to unlock the page. Despite the fact that the application is really very popular in the Play Market, it is not clear what the frequency of its use is on Samsung equipment. Nevertheless, for a year and a half, Samsung Internet has been the default browser for this company's devices.
