Oppo has released a competitor to the flagships Xiaomi and Samsung (Topic)

One more Chinese flagship has been added to the smartphone world. This time it was the Oppo smartphone, which premiered recently. The Realme X2 Pro model is positioned as a serious competitor to premium devices from Xiaomi and even Samsung. The strengths of the novelty are the top-end Qualcomm processor to date, a screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a 64-megapixel sensor of the main camera, which is not yet so common in the environment of modern smartphones.

Competitive Gadget

With the release of Realme X2 Pro, the company plans to seriously push its competitor, another Chinese giant, Xiaomi. For this, the new Oppo has powerful hardware, a low price and a rare 64 MP camera. Among the Xiaomi models, the Redmi K20 Pro is the closest in terms of its characteristics, although with a less powerful processor.

Given its parameters, the recently released Realme smartphone can compete with the current models of the Korean giant Samsung, including its top-end Galaxy S10 and Note 10. In addition, in some technical aspects, with the exception of the processor, the X2 Pro outperforms the new Mate models 30 and Mate 30 Pro from Huawei.

General specifications

The heart of the gadget is the Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, an advanced version of the regular Snapdragon 855. The new Oppo has a liquid cooling system, complemented by a special carbon material to provide better heat dissipation.

The 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen occupies about 92% of the front panel. The display supports the image standards Full HD + and HDR 10+, has a built-in fingerprint scanner. Another display feature of the new Oppo product is the presence of gentle DC Dimming 2.0 backlighting, which is designed to reduce the harmful effect of screen flickering.

The flagship Oppo is powered by a 4000 mAh battery, for which the device has a USB-C port for charging. In addition to it, the smartphone has a standard 3.5 mm audio input, two connectors for SIM cards, and an LTE modem. The manufacturer also draws attention to the support by the gadget of the high-speed Super VOOC charge recovery technology (50 W), with the help of which the battery, according to the company, replenishes its reserves by 80% in half an hour. The pre-installed operating system is Android 9 Pie, supplemented by ColorOS 6.1 firmware.

Camera specifications

The smartphone received a four-module main camera, the main lens of which has a resolution of 64 MP. It is complemented by an 8MP wide-angle sensor, a 13MP telephoto lens with optical zoom and a 2MP ToF camera. The selfie camera has a 16MP resolution.

The camera has activated the technology of combining several pixels into one, which gives higher quality 16-megapixel photos at the output. The mode works by default, although in the settings it can be changed by setting the ability to obtain images with a maximum resolution of 64 MP. The camera also includes 960 fps slow motion recording and 60 fps recording.

In the simplest assembly with memory of 6 and 64 GB, the Oppo smartphone at the time of the announcement is estimated at $ 370 . The price for a configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory is $ 395. In the maximum configuration, the gadget has 12 and 256 GB of memory, and the cost of such an assembly is $ 450.
