Huawei unveils MateBook X Pro laptop to replace Apple counterparts
In addition to standard Huawei tablets and smartphones, the Chinese manufacturer announced the appearance on the USA market of a series of notebooks under the general name MateBook X Pro. The company positions them as a full-fledged alternative to Apple's MacBook Pro. Despite the fact that the presented basic assembly is not equipped with the fastest chipset and rather moderate amounts of internal and RAM (256 and 8 GB, respectively), the model outperforms the standard 13-inch MacBook with a 7th generation Intel dual-core processor . What's under the hoodThe laptop is equipped with the Windows 10 operating system. The device is powered by a 4-core processor of the Core i5 8250U series with a supported frequency of 1.6 GHz (in turbo mode it accelerates to 3.4 GHz). The presence of the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 video card allows you to select the desired assembly for various user requests: from working in office programs to editing heavy multimedia files.  Among the main differences between the new items from Huawei is its touchscreen LTPS-display with a supported resolution of 3000 ? 2000 pixels. The presence of a thin bezel increases the screen space by up to 91%. The presence of standard USB-C ports on both sides allows connection of various external devices. MateBook X Pro - your kilos of aluminumThe case of the MateBook X Pro is made of aluminum, weight - 1.33 kg, dimensions - 30.4x21.7 cm. The fingerprint sensor, which also acts as a way to unlock the device, is located inside the power button. The device's webcam has a rather unusual location - inside the case under a cover that looks like one of the keys on the top row of the keyboard. The structure of the laptop audio system consists of four speakers, four microphones (for video conferencing) and the presence of a surround sound mechanism Dolby ATMOS.  The manufacturing company speaks of the quality of the built-in battery, the capacity of which is sufficient for 12 hours of autonomous use of a laptop during video viewing and up to 15 hours for office work or Internet surfing. The compact charger recovers the battery in half an hour and is also suitable for smartphones with a USB-C port. Additionally, among the MateBook X Pro options that can arouse interest, there is the Huawei Share mechanism, through which the direct transfer of information between Huawei technical units is carried out, as well as the presence of a built-in translator.
