People's Artist of USA Vladimir Mashkov accepted the offer to take the post of artistic director of the Moscow theater Oleg Tabakov "Snuffbox". For the actor "Snuffbox" is actually his native theater, as he himself graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School (course of Oleg Tabakov), and here he staged several of his performances. The Snuffbox Theater was founded in 1978. Its creators were Tabakov and the artist Borovsky. It was they who found a basement for the theater in a residential building on Chaplygin Street.
