Request text: Tell me how to set up a proxy server, is there a proxy address and port, where to register them in Windows XP? Asked - we answer!

In general terms, a proxy server is an intermediary that provides Internet access through a special service. In this case, the computer first contacts the proxy server, which in turn provides the computer with access to the Internet. The main advantages of using a proxy server include ensuring security and anonymity on the network, as well as, most often, increasing the speed of loading pages due to the use of a fiber optic connection by the proxy server.

To start setting up the proxy server, click " Start " - " Control Panel " and select " Internet Options " (Fig .1).
