Watching Borderlands 3 streams will provide in-game items

Gearbox Software has announced an ECHOcast extension that should help drive interest in streaming games on Twitch. For views you will be given different in-game items.

During the broadcast, you can look into the character's inventory or study his skill tree. Most importantly, when the streamer finds a rare chest and opens it, all ECHOcast users will be able to pick up its contents if they react within 30 seconds. Those who join the event will be able to choose one of the dropped items or receive a random one. All loot can be picked up in the in-game mailbox after the game is released.
