Despite the seeming simplicity of the question, everything is not so obvious here, and in this article we will tell you whether the PS4 will remain a relevant purchase for the next year. But the main artillery in the face of The last of Us Part 2 is ahead, and judging by the gaming portfolio of developers from Naughty Dog, we can expect that the continuation of the post-apocalyptic horror will swing not only at the laurels of one of the best games of 2020, but for the entire generation as a whole.  The Sony console is working out its function as a "game station" in full force this year, and we have not yet mentioned the best PS4 exclusives in the past years, which have not yet been announced on the PC. We are talking about God of War, Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian and Bloodborne - all as a selection of reference representatives in their own genres and clear advantages to the list of reasons to buy a Playstation 4 in USA. Also, let's not forget about PS VR-exclusive games and high-profile novelties of the near future, like Resident Evil 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. The imminent arrival of a new console generation is inevitable, but this does not prevent Sony by all means to maintain the status of Playstation 4 as an up-to-date gaming device capable of offering unique and high-quality content. Perhaps, in recent months, we have been hearing a minimum of news about the Playstation 5 precisely because the company does not want the new console to take away the attention from the PS4, which is still capable of showing decent sales statistics. But what about the confirmed backward compatibility function between games with PS 4 and PS5, isn't it easier to endure a little and buy a Playstation 5? Most likely, Sony will not want to look in an unpleasant light in comparison with the competing Xbox Series X and will implement the backward compatibility function similar to Smart Delivery. That is, the purchased games from PS4 will not only be able to be transferred to the new console for free, but in addition they will also look better, which is possible thanks to the much more powerful hardware of the gaming device.  If backward compatibility will work on the new generation in this way, then in reality we see only one reason to buy a Playstation 4 this year - the desire to play here and now, and not wait for the release of Next-Gen consoles. Of course, this is on condition that you have already decided for sure that you will purchase a game console from Sony. We have no doubts that the same The Last of Us 2 or Ghost of Tsushima in PS5 versions will be able to sport increased frame rates, improved textures or prettier special effects, but are you ready to wait months, or perhaps a year, until you can play potentially some of the best games of recent years?
