This device has been waited for a long time. There have been many leaks about its design and refinement process. Finally, it will soon be presented to the public. The new Samsung Galaxy A9 smartphone is, as expected, quite unusual.

This is a device, which in the hierarchy of this company is a representative of the middle class, but has some functions inherent in flagship models.

Description of appearance

The frame of the smartphone is made of aluminum. Panels, as they should be, glass.

The display is 6.3 inches AMOLED with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels. Its sides have a ratio of 18, 5: 9.

The center of the rear panel has a fingerprint reader.

All four camera sensors are placed vertically in a row, in the upper left corner of the back panel of the device. The result is a beautiful strip of video cameras.

The new product does not have stereo speakers. However, this did not stop Samsung's development engineers from installing a Type-C headphone jack. It is mounted next to the USB port.

It is also known that the Galaxy A9 will be available in three color shades. The body will be black, pink or blue.

The basis of the "life" of the novelty is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 - a processor with six cores and a clock frequency of 2.3 GHz. The company's approach to the configuration of RAM is interesting.

It can be 6 or 8 GB. The amount of mounted RAM will depend on the future region of use. There are no specific clarifications on this issue.

Everything is clear with the built-in memory, there are no puzzles. It will be equal to 128 GB. The microSD card can be expanded up to 512GB.

The Galaxy A9 is powered by a 3800mAh battery. This is a good indicator. The energy will be enough for conversations with a total duration of about a day or for watching a video for 13-15 hours. The capacity is almost equal to that of the flagship Galaxy Note 9.

Camera info

The Galaxy A9 is the first mid-range smartphone from Samsung to feature four cameras on the back. Why does the device need so many cameras? This is one of the main questions that will certainly interest future users.

The main camera has a 24-megapixel sensor with f / 1.7 aperture. It will be used for solving everyday shooting tasks. In addition, the device can operate in low light mode. Its essence lies in the grouping of pixels by 4 in each cluster. Such photographs will have lower resolution (around 6 megapixels), but due to the greater "collection" of light, the exposure will increase.

The next telephoto camera has a resolution of 10 megapixels with an aperture of f / 2.4. In addition to 2x optical zoom, it allows for better portrait photography. This is achieved by introducing special additional functions that do not allow distortion of faces.

The third camera has the widest angle of view. It is 1200. This allows for more extensive capture in each

the frame taken. However, one should not expect a high quality of the resulting image. All because of the sensor with only 8 megapixels in reserve.

The last of the described cameras has only 5 megapixel resolution. It has an f / 2.2 aperture lens. It is used with one single function. This is the helper function. This camera assists in determining the depth of the image, which allows later, by processing the resulting images, to select focus and depth of field.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy A9 is equipped with an artificial intelligence image analyzer. It is intended to warn about the presence of photos with blurry faces or other low-quality characteristics.

The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo platform. This does not make it one of the most functional, because Android 9 Pie is already available.

The device should appear in November this year. At the same time, it will be sold only in some countries. In which, it is not yet clear. We will wait and find out.
