Xiaomi has pleased again with a budget novelty with flagship characteristics. This time, the Xiaomi smartphone, which costs from $ 105 in the basic assembly, has an eight-core chipset, a dual camera with modern effects, a large IPS-display protected by a proprietary Gorilla Glass coating. The official presentation of Xiaomi Redmi 7 has already taken place. In its price category in terms of technical characteristics and level of performance, the model has no analogues among other brands. Users of the Xiaomi Redmi 7 smartphone can offer three configurations with different amounts of RAM and internal memory. The simplest assembly contains 2 GB of "RAM" and 16 GB of storage, followed by a version with 3 GB and 32 GB and a top-end configuration with 4 GB and 64 GB, respectively. Sitting in the same price range as the previous model, the new Xiaomi Redmi smartphone boasts a Snapdragon 632 chipset with support for the Adreno 506 graphics adapter. It is based on 8 Kryo 250 cores, divided into 2 clusters for performance and energy efficiency. p>
The 6.26-inch IPS-matrix screen received a small notch (although early insider information predicted a "monobrow" notch), which does not take up a critical amount of its usable area. The HD + screen covers 84% of the color space and is protected by reinforced Gorilla Glass 5. The front camera with an 8 MP module is located in the cutout of the screen. The main photographic lens is equipped with two sensors, the main one of which has a 12 MP sensor, and the auxiliary 2 MP lens supports the effects of blurring the background and creating scene depth. In addition to the main camera, a fingerprint scanner is located on the rear panel. The body of Xiaomi Redmi 7 is additionally protected with a P2i moisture-repellent coating. The device runs on a 4000 mAh battery. The manufacturer has equipped the novelty with two SIM card connectors, a classic 3.5 mm port for a wired headset, a microSD card slot, and an FM tuner. Also, Redmi 7 supports Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi wireless standards, GPS and GLONASS navigation systems. In addition, the smartphone has an infrared port for controlling home appliances.
The new Xiaomi smartphone received proprietary software Android 9 Pie, on top of which the proprietary MIUI 10 shell was quite expected. The novelty is presented in three solutions - classic black, bright red and calm blue. Since the beginning of this year, the Xiaomi brand has already presented three significant new items, including Redmi 7. At the beginning of the year, the manufacturer announced the Redmi Note 7 model, equipped with a Samsung GM1 photo module with a resolution of 48 MP. A little later, a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S10 came out - the flagship Mi 9 with half the cost. So far, the brand maintains its own pricing policy, although the head of the company, Lei Jun, has already hinted at an imminent pricing change.
