The G20 summit was recently held, at which the leaders of the United States and China signed an agreement. However, the withdrawal of part of the production of large enterprises from the Middle Kingdom is natural. This is due to rising operating costs and increasing risks.

All this led to losses. They are tolerated by China, which for many years has created infrastructure for Western manufacturers and customers of products from this country.

Meizu will launch a 5G smartphone next year

A year ago, Meizu planned to launch the production of smartphones that support the 5G NSA standard. At that time, the SA standard was irrelevant. Soon, however, the 3GPP Association, which includes many major electronics manufacturers, decided to approve the SA standard as generally accepted.

Therefore, Meizu changed their approach to this issue. According to Gizchina, the company hopes to start testing on 5th generation networks in the third quarter of this year. Test production of 5G terminals is planned for the next quarter.

The release of the company's first smartphone with support for fifth generation networks should begin in the first half of 2020.

At the moment, there is information regarding four processors that will support the new communication protocol. These are Kirin Balong 5000, Qualcomm X50, Samsung Exynos 5100 and MediaTek Helio M70. The first on this list will not be on sale.

Helio M70 is available for Meizu, as Exynos is not supported by carriers and Qualcomm X50 only works with NSA standard.

In China, the development of fifth-generation networks follows its own rules. The transition to a more promising NSA standard will happen here only by the end of this year. So Meizu has nothing to lose if it launches its first 5G smartphone next year.

Sony is developing two modifications of the Xperia 2

The former will be equipped with a Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16: 9, the latter will support a resolution of 3840x1644 with an aspect ratio of 21: 9.

Previous leaks reported that the display of the more expensive smartphone will receive a 6.1-inch size, 6 GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 855 processor and a triple main camera. Its battery has a capacity of 3000 mAh and has wireless charging function.

Judging by the images available on the web, the Xperia 2 at the top of the front panel will retain the cutout for the camera and speaker. However, many will be saddened by the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack. The bottom edge of the smartphone will house a speaker and a USB Type-C port.
