On sale: Xiaomi Mi9 - the best Chinese smartphone of 2019 and the revolutionary Huawei P30 Pro
Less than a week ago, two major Chinese smartphones of 2019 started in USA at once: Xiaomi Mi9 and Huawei P30 Pro. Both flagships offer top-end tech and advanced multimedia features, so which phone should you buy in 2019? As you can see from the title, we have already identified a winner in this heated debate, but first things first. Let's start with the Huawei P30. The smartphone is equipped with a contrasting 6.47-inch bezelless display and fits comfortably in the hand thanks to the rounded edges inherited from the Huawei P20. The display is equipped with an OLED matrix, has a resolution of 2340x1080 and offers two temperature modes of brightness to choose from: cold and normal. The characteristics of the phone are just to match the flagship title - the latest 7-nanometer proprietary processor Kirin 980, graphics chip Mali-G76 and 6, or 8 GB of RAM at the discretion of the buyer.  But the main feature of the device is a revolutionary camera of 4 modules of 76 megapixels. The main camera unit on the back of the phone is developed using RYYB technology, which uses a solution with a red-yellow-blue spectrum instead of the usual red-green-blue color spectrum. In order not to go into the jungle of technology, we only note that RYYB allows you to increase the amount of light passing through the matrix and, in general, significantly increase the level of illumination of photos taken in the dark on the Huawei P30 Pro. Other advantages of the camera include 50x hybrid zoom on the Huawei P30 Pro and 30x on the more affordable Huawei P30.  The Xiaomi Mi9 smartphone is taking a different path. It does not offer any innovative solutions, but simply combines advanced technologies polished to a high gloss and sports a powerful technical filling. Powerful is even a little said, because according to the results of the Antutu benchmark, Xayomi Mi9 is the most productive phone in history. Of course, we are talking about Android devices. The Chinese engineers managed to achieve colossal performance thanks to the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, Adreno 640 graphics adapter and modern RAM with 6-8 GB solutions. They also did not skimp on the size of the permanent memory, and depending on the version, Xiaomi Mi9 is on sale with 64-128 GB of internal memory.  The display of the flagship from Xiaomi is largely identical to the Huawei P30: 6.39 inches, the resolution is 2340x1080. The only thing that the matrix is inferior, instead of OLED, the Xiaomi Mi9 phone uses AMOLED technology. The camera may not have the advantages of a competitor, but in general it shows itself perfectly: a three-sensor unit of the main cameras with a total resolution of 66 megapixels and a double zoom. But interesting solutions were not without, for example, the use of lasers together with phase and contrast autofocus, which allows to reduce the frame focusing speed by up to several tenths of a second. What is the end result of the Xiaomi Mi9 camera experience? The result is flawless, which is further confirmed by the DxoMark resource, which put the camera in the new Chinese flagship in third place among all smartphones released to date.  Xiaomi Mi9 and Huawei P30 Pro phones are very different in many ways, but we will give the priority to the device from Xayomi. Why? Everything is very simple: with all the advantages of a smartphone, the price of Xiaomi Mi9 is unusually sparing: only 35 thousand rubles for the version with 64 GB and 38 thousand for the version with 128 GB. It should be borne in mind that this is the official price in the USA Federation, on AliExpress you can find it even cheaper - around 30 thousand rubles. The Huawei P30 Pro is already aiming for a premium class of devices with a price tag of 70 thousand rubles, and the younger version has not gone far from a brother with a better camera: they ask for 50 thousand rubles for Huawei P30.
