As Windows runs, more and more applications and individual components are added to the startup list (usually without notifying the user).
This list determines which programs will start automatically when the PC is turned on. It should be borne in mind that with a significant number of such programs, computer performance may significantly decrease.
Of course, some programs need to run before the system is fully loaded (for example, the antivirus will otherwise not be able to protect the device), but most programs are not needed by the user so often.
To manage the set of startup programs in Windows 7, the msconfig.exe utility utility is used, which can be called through the " Run " window (available in the " Start " menu or through the combination Win + R ). This tool allows you not only to control startup, but also to perform other system settings, however, in this case, you need to be careful as it can disrupt Windows.
In the main window of the msconfig.exe program, activate the " Startup " tab. A list of programs will open, some of which are marked with checkmarks, which means permission to autoload. The new parameters are activated after a system reboot. This program also allows you to configure services that are allowed to load automatically. However, it is best not to touch the service if the user is unsure of its purpose.
You can also edit the startup list using third-party software, for example, use the CCleaner utility. To configure programs in the main window, you must activate the " Service " section, then select the appropriate item. The window will display a table in which various information will be displayed opposite the programs, including permission to autoload.
Registry, you need a registry here
Advanced users can also remove programs from startup by editing the system registry. The Registry Editor can be activated by typing the regedit (program name) command in the " Run " window. A window will open, on the left side the main registry keys will be displayed with the ability to open subdirectories.
Startup is displayed in two branches. In the first case, open the HKEY_CURRENT_USER section and follow the path: Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Run . In the second case, you need to select the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE branch and follow the same path.
It's just time to switch to Windows 10 from Windows 7, or even Wicrosoft office new on any windows Below 10 won't work.
