A new trailer for The Last of Us 2 is finally released - the game will be released on February 21

We suffered for a long time in anticipation, and at State Of Play Sony finally showed us a new trailer for The Last of Us 2. In addition to Ellie, our protagonist, Joel appeared in it. In the trailer, we were shown many elements familiar to fans from the first parts. For example, riding a horse.

The release date of February 21 next year has also become known.

Director of The Last of Us Part II Neil Druckmann called the game the most ambitious and longest-running game in the history of Naughty Dog studio at 35 years. According to him, the plot of the game is very large-scale, where the main question will be solved: how far will you go to achieve justice for the people who hurt those you love? We were also presented with five sets of the game. You can check them out on the Playstation blog.

The Last of Us Part II is really big, as it will be released on two Blu-ray discs for PS4 at once. One such disk holds 50 gigabytes of data, so the game will weigh about 100 gigabytes.

Before that, only RDR2 was released on two disks. You inserted the first disk and all the information was copied from it to the console, and after that you put the second one with the rest of the information and all the data was copied from it. The first disc after that became unnecessary for the game.

New story trailer for Call of Duty Modern Warfare with Captain Price

The second high-profile project on State of Play was the story trailer for Call of Duty Modern Warfare. There, Captain Price, with a group of the British army SAS and CIA officers, are sent to Urzikstan to recover stolen chemical weapons and prevent a global catastrophe. For the same purpose, we will travel to other parts of the world.

We were also shown an exclusive Squad Survival Mode that will be available a year after release on PS4 only. Although Activision promised to release most of the post-release content right away, apparently they have special agreements with Sony.

The game will be released on October 25 on three major platforms. However, the game will not be sold in the USA PS Store.

Respawn Announced New Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond - Coming to VR

We thought the Medal of Honor series was dead, but Respawn Entertainment announced Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond on Oculus Connect 6 exclusively for VR.

In the WW2 setting, we will play as a soldier from the Strategic Services Alliance, set off across Europe to unite with allies and carry out a couple of operations behind enemy lines.

We are assured that it will be a full-fledged AAA with a storyline campaign for 10-12 hours, which tries to follow historical realities. For this, the developers consulted with WWII veterans. There will be 50 levels and three acts in the game, covering the period from 1943 to 1945: this is occupied France before the landing in Normandy, the invasion of the Allied forces after the landing at Omaha Beach, as well as the destruction of secret Nazi weapons.

As noted by journalists, the game has a high level of interactivity. For example, to get a weapon, you need to bring the controller behind your back or hip (depending on the weapon); in order to reload - manually get an empty magazine, throw it out and replace it with a new one; and to restore health, you will have to rip one of the three syringes from your sleeve and put it in your chest. You can even pull the check with your teeth!

If you look at the root - so far this is the most expensive project for the Oculus rift.

Take Two registers a new trademark associated with Mafia 2

Take Two Interactive is reported to have registered three trademarks associated with the Mafia series in August.

So on the website of the US patent office there are three applications. The first one flaunts the logo of the very first game, the second, a previously unseen logo, typed in a font that is not traditional for the series. The third application concerns Mafia 2. Now think about whether the company is extending the rights or preparing, for example, a remaster.

The company also extended the rights to the Hangar 13 brand - this is the name of the studio developer of the third part of the Mafia. Everything is more obvious here. Take Two is likely just renewing the rights to its product, as it became known last year that the developer refused to make a sequel. The action of the game would take us to the Las Vegas of the 70s.

The creators of the first TES are working on a new RPG

During the existence of the TES franchise, and 25 years have passed since the release of the first game, it has changed more than a dozen developers. As it became known, some of the authors of the original first games have founded their studio OnceLost Games and are working on a new RPG. Their staff includes Julian LeFay, who created TES: Arena and TES II: Daggerfall, and Ted Peterson, designer of the first two games, writer of Morrowind and Oblivion.

There is little information about the new studio's game. It is known that it will be a large-scale fantasy RPG with a clear touch of classics. The developers want to combine the design style of RPG 90s and modern quality with all the features in the management. It is also known that a complex universe awaits us, which will unfold through conversations and inner books. Announcing game later this year.

Microsoft has determined the average age of Minecraft players

Today Minecraft is associated only with schoolchildren who play it in between Fortnite. As it turned out, we are mistaken. And radically. An interview with Minecraft CEO Helen Chan was published in Edge magazine. In it, she mentioned that the average age of a Minecraft player is 24.

As Chan says, people are always surprised that there are so many adults in their game. Its large coverage is to blame. It is certainly played by many children, but the percentage of adult players is also very high.

By the way, due to the large number of young audience, the monetization system in the game should be simple. Hah, "Minecraft - we do everything to make children spend more of your money in the easiest way."

The popularity of the game continues to grow. So, at the moment, 112 million people spend time in the cubic world every month.

That was all the top news for the weekend. Stay tuned.
